This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected through our website, sales and marketing activities, communications, consulting engagements, and related business activities.
It does not govern the independent privacy practices of third parties that SalesGrit does not own or control. Third-party websites, applications, platforms, and service providers may maintain their own privacy policies and terms.
For purposes of this Privacy Policy, "Personal Information" means information that identifies, relates to, describes, or could reasonably be associated with an identifiable individual, subject to the definitions and exclusions contained in applicable law.
We may collect Personal Information and other information in the following ways.
Information You Provide to Us. You may provide information including: name; email address; mobile or other telephone number; company name; job title; country or location; company website; company revenue or financial qualification information; CRM and technology information; business challenges, problems, and goals; desired engagement timing; information submitted through lead forms, quote requests, audit requests, booking pages, or third-party marketplaces such as Upwork; billing and transaction information; communications with SalesGrit; meeting, telephone, video-call, and consultation information; information contained in recordings or transcripts; feedback and survey responses; privacy preferences, consents, unsubscribe requests, and other communication preferences; and any other information you choose to provide.
Information Collected Automatically. When you interact with our website, we and service providers acting on our behalf may automatically collect information such as: IP address; approximate location derived from IP address; browser type; device type; operating system; referring website or source; pages viewed; links clicked; time and date of visits; campaign or referral information; device or online identifiers; and information regarding how you interact with our website. Some of this information may constitute Personal Information under applicable law.
Information We Receive From Third Parties. We may receive information from third-party services through which you interact with SalesGrit, including: marketplaces such as Upwork; scheduling services; CRM platforms; payment processors; referral partners; communication platforms; and other technology or business partners.
In the course of providing consulting services, SalesGrit may be given access to information controlled by a client, including: CRM records; lead and customer databases; marketing information; sales pipeline information; email and communication records; call information; revenue information; reports; automation data; website information; and other business or customer information.
When SalesGrit processes this information on behalf of a client, the client remains responsible for determining whether it has the legal authority, notices, consents, and other permissions necessary to collect and provide that information to SalesGrit.
SalesGrit may process Client Data as reasonably necessary to provide the services requested by the client and as otherwise permitted by the applicable client agreement.
We may use information to: respond to inquiries; provide requested information; prepare quotes or proposals; conduct audits and consultations; determine whether SalesGrit's services may be appropriate for a prospective client; provide and administer consulting services; configure, modify, analyze, or support client technology; communicate with leads, prospects, clients, and former clients; schedule meetings; process transactions; manage billing and accounts; maintain CRM and business records; provide customer support; improve our services, systems, processes, and website; analyze business performance; measure marketing effectiveness; operate sales and marketing campaigns; record, transcribe, summarize, and analyze calls and meetings; use artificial intelligence and automated technologies in connection with our operations and services; prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents; enforce agreements; collect amounts owed; comply with legal, accounting, tax, regulatory, and contractual requirements; establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; and protect SalesGrit's legitimate business interests.
If you submit an inquiry, request a quote, book an audit or consultation, or otherwise ask SalesGrit to contact you, we may use the contact information you provide to respond to your request and communicate with you regarding that inquiry, subject to applicable law.
Where required by law, SalesGrit will obtain any necessary consent before sending marketing communications. Commercial emails and text messages sent to recipients in Canada are subject to CASL requirements, which generally include consent, sender identification, and a functioning unsubscribe mechanism.
If you separately consent to marketing communications, you may receive recurring communications from SalesGrit, including: email; SMS/text messages; telephone calls; automated messages; automated or AI-assisted calls; and calls using artificial or prerecorded voices. In the United States, FCC rules treat AI-generated voices as artificial or prerecorded voices for purposes of the TCPA.
Consent to receive marketing communications is not a condition of purchasing SalesGrit services where applicable law prohibits such a requirement. Message and data rates may apply.
You may opt out of marketing text messages by replying STOP where supported. You may request assistance by replying HELP where supported. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link contained in the message. You may also contact matt@salesgrit.com to update your communication preferences.
SalesGrit may continue sending non-marketing communications where permitted by law, including communications regarding requested services, transactions, appointments, legal notices, billing, or existing business relationships.
We may maintain records relating to consent, unsubscribe requests, and communication preferences. In Canada, businesses sending commercial electronic messages should maintain evidence of consent and comply with unsubscribe obligations.
SalesGrit may record, transcribe, summarize, and analyze telephone calls, video conferences, audits, consultations, and other communications. These records may be used for: service delivery; documentation; training; quality assurance; internal analysis; client relationship management; dispute resolution; security; and improving SalesGrit's services.
Where applicable law requires notice or consent before recording, SalesGrit will seek to provide the appropriate notice or obtain consent.
SalesGrit may use artificial intelligence, machine learning, automated systems, large language models, transcription tools, and similar technologies. These technologies may be used for: analysis; reporting; summarization; drafting; CRM operations; communication assistance; sales and marketing operations; automation; service delivery; and other internal business processes.
Information processed through such technologies may include Personal Information, Client Data, CRM information, communications, recordings, transcripts, and business information. We may use third-party AI or technology providers to perform these functions.
AI-generated information may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or misleading and should be reviewed appropriately before being relied upon for material business decisions.
Necessary Cookies. These technologies support essential website functionality, security, preferences, and operation.
Performance and Analytics Cookies. These technologies may help us understand how visitors use our website; traffic sources; page performance; website engagement; and marketing effectiveness.
Advertising Cookies and Pixels. SalesGrit may use advertising technologies in the future to measure advertising effectiveness; build audiences; understand conversions; and display relevant advertising.
Where applicable law requires consent for non-essential technologies, SalesGrit will seek to obtain that consent. SalesGrit may add, remove, or change analytics and advertising providers over time.
SalesGrit may use third-party payment processors, including Stripe, to process payments. When you provide payment information through a third-party payment processor, that provider may collect, process, store, and use your information according to its own terms and privacy practices.
SalesGrit may receive limited payment and transaction information, such as: billing information; transaction status; payment method type; and limited card information such as the last four digits. SalesGrit generally does not need to directly receive or store complete credit-card numbers when payment information is processed through third-party payment providers.
SalesGrit does not sell Personal Information.
We may disclose information to service providers, contractors, professional advisers, and other parties reasonably necessary to operate our business or provide services. These may include providers of: CRM technology; payment processing; cloud services; email; telephone and SMS services; video conferencing; hosting; productivity and collaboration software; artificial intelligence; automation; analytics; marketing technology; accounting; legal services; security; and other business infrastructure.

We may also disclose information: Business transactions — in connection with a merger, financing, sale, acquisition, restructuring, transfer of assets, or similar transaction. Legal compliance — where reasonably necessary to comply with law, regulation, legal process, government request, or court order. Protection and enforcement — where reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, protect rights or safety, enforce agreements, collect debts, investigate misuse, or defend legal claims. With your direction or authorization — where you request or authorize the disclosure.
SalesGrit operates through entities in Canada and the United States and may use technology and service providers located in multiple jurisdictions. Personal Information may therefore be transferred to, stored in, accessed from, or processed in jurisdictions outside the province, state, or country in which it was originally collected. Information transferred to another jurisdiction may become subject to the laws and lawful access requirements of that jurisdiction.
SalesGrit retains Personal Information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or subsequently authorized, subject to applicable law. This may include retaining information as reasonably necessary to: provide services; maintain client and prospect relationship history; maintain business records; comply with legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, or contractual obligations; maintain evidence of marketing consent; maintain suppression and opt-out records; resolve disputes; enforce agreements; protect against fraud or misuse; and protect SalesGrit's legitimate business interests.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the purpose for which it is maintained. Canadian privacy guidance generally requires organizations to retain personal information only as long as necessary for the identified purposes and to dispose of or anonymize information once it is no longer required.
SalesGrit uses reasonable administrative, organizational, and technical safeguards appropriate to the information it processes. However, no electronic transmission, software platform, storage system, integration, or security measure can guarantee absolute security. Accordingly, SalesGrit cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, loss, alteration, disclosure, corruption, or security incidents will never occur.
Depending on applicable law and your jurisdiction, you may have rights concerning Personal Information maintained about you. These may include rights to: request access; request correction; request deletion; withdraw consent where processing relies on consent; obtain information about how data is used or disclosed; or make a complaint regarding our privacy practices.
These rights may be subject to exceptions, limitations, identity verification requirements, and SalesGrit's legal obligations. You may submit requests to matt@salesgrit.com.
SalesGrit may retain information despite a deletion request where retention is reasonably necessary or permitted by applicable law, including for: legal obligations; tax and accounting purposes; existing transactions; security; fraud prevention; dispute resolution; enforcement of agreements; suppression lists; and other lawful business purposes.
Residents of California may have additional rights under applicable California privacy laws. If SalesGrit becomes subject to additional statutory notice or disclosure requirements applicable to California residents, this Privacy Policy may be updated accordingly. Nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to limit rights that cannot legally be waived.
SalesGrit's website and services are intended for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly seek to collect Personal Information from children. If you believe that a child has provided Personal Information to SalesGrit in circumstances prohibited by applicable law, contact matt@salesgrit.com.
SalesGrit may link to or integrate with third-party websites, applications, software, and platforms. We do not control their privacy, security, availability, content, or business practices. Your interactions with third parties may be governed by their own privacy policies and terms.
SalesGrit may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to: our services; technology; data practices; legal requirements; or business operations. We will update the "Last Updated" date when changes are made. Where required by law, we may provide additional notice or obtain consent before materially changing how Personal Information is processed.
